About this Project
In 1890, Jesse and Lester Williams had a little shop in Iowa repairing bicycles and automobiles. Sometimes they would get tool orders for local contractors. As customers saw the tools, the word got out the Williams brothers were excellent at making quality tools for a variety of purposes. The business grew and and in 1905 the brothers, together with their salesman incorporated to become Marshalltown Trowel Company.

Times have changed but Marshalltown is still going strong and today they are one of the largest tool manufacturers in the world, branching out to locations in California, Missouri, Ohio and Arkansas. Even so, their roots remain right in Marshalltown IA. And recently their manufacturing site in Fayetteville AR received an upgrade with the addition of a glazed structure from Crystal Structures.
The new glass room provides a connection between two buildings while being large enough to be a sunny break room for the busy staff. Installed by our on site manager for Crossland Construction, this structure is strong enough to withstand the snowfalls in Arkansas. It’s built to meet the existing building codes so it provides excellent protection against the elements for the people inside while they get an opportunity to sit in the daylight – which is proven to boost productivity and morale.
