About this Project
The Bangor Savings Bank is one of the country’s oldest banking establishments, in business for over 160 years. As a community member, the Bangor Savings Bank has been instrumental in the growth and development of Maine.
The bank has made generous donations to the local children’s hospital and collected food pantries. They have annual grant contests(Community Matters) for local endeavors like a rabbit rescue, a surfing program for children with special needs, a living history farm and museum, and a county firewood bank.
The customers have also rated the bank highly. Bangor Savings Bank has received the highest score among qualifying retail banks in the New England region in the J.D. Power 2016 Retail Banking Satisfaction Study 2 years in a row. With all the goodwill the bank is generating, it’s no surprise that Maine’s only independent bank is growing by leaps and bounds.
The 57th location of the Bangor Savings Bank was opened in Augusta Maine, and Crystal Structures provided a crowning piece in the 21′ diameter octagon skylight. Centered above the third-floor atrium, not only does this skylight deliver daylight, it provides a wonderful backdrop to the atrium and is featured in many of the bank’s publicity and press photos.
